Downgrade iOS 4.0.1 to 3.1.3

Because of the jailbreak are having hard time to launch. I can’t wait for it. It’s making the iPhone become very boring. And Android keep coming into my head. To keep me out of wasting money I have to downgrade it. (Lame excuses)
What you need are SHSH blob of 3.1.3 saved in Cydia Saurik’s server.
Download 3.1.3 firmware from here. Download 3.1.3 (3GS): iPhone2,1_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.ipsw for my case.
Download libUSB-win32 1.2.0 and install
Download Recboot  and download .Net Framework 4 if you don’t have. Reboot.
Add Saurik’s server IP line to your host file c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts --- add this line 74.208.10.249    gs.apple.com
Plug your iPhone to your PC. Start iTunes.
Turn off your iPhone and press Power + Home for 10 second (exact time) and release power after 10 sec. Keep holding Home until your iTunes detect your iPhone. (If you see the iTunes + USB sign mean you are in the wrong mode, you need DFU not restore. DFU are total dark screen). Click Check when asked.
In iTunes select your phone on the left side list if not selected. Now press Left Shift and click on Restore. Select your ipsw file wherever you saved it.
It takes 10-20 minutes to finish.
After that don’t heart attack as you will get error. But it actually has restored to 3.1.3.
Start Recboot and kick you iPhone out of DFU mode.
Tada! You got yourself back to the time. Your iOS 4 backup won’t work. So set your iPhone as new phone in iTunes. If want some manual restore download Reincubate.
Next Spirit it!!!! Here
